I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t tried Monopoly yet. The idea of Star Wars crossing over with Monopoly is a little strange.

However, Monopoly has released many collaborations with various franchises. I think it’s more about collectability.

But since it’s Monopoly, it’s bound to be a hit. The main highlight of this version is its striking design.

It may be ridiculous, but I could honestly see myself purchasing this for the purpose of just putting the board up for display!

The game has been adjusted to match the Star Wars universe, too. To win the game, you have to collect scenes and ships by building bases and fleets.

You can even side with either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire!

14. Best co-op: Dark Side Rising

If you don’t want to compete against your family or friends, then you should pick this game up.

It’s a co-op game where all the players team up to take down the Galactic Empire. And you’ve guessed it, with 2-4 players, you lead the Rebel Alliance to victory.

You’ll need to keep recruiting Rebels to outnumber the Empire. As you collect the character cards, you’ll notice just how beautiful the art and portraits are.

With this in mind, you can expect that the gameplay is new and refreshing but still modeled after Carcassone.

Again, this is a 2 player strategic game of domination. If you aren’t familiar with this game, the video below will get you into the fun world of Carcassone.

What we like:

  • A familiar and fun game.
  • It has also been simplified and modified for a refreshingly new gameplay
  • Numerous positive reviews from customers

What we don’t like:

  • On the pricey side

Final Verdict

Overall, with all the excitement and adventures in Star Wars, the possibility of crossing over to board games is natural.

From intensive detailed tactical board games, simple card games, and story-based role-playing games, there’s something for everyone.

My favorite has to be Trivial Pursuit, only because I’m a big fan of quizzes and I’m a big Star Wars nerd.

In terms of the best Star Wars board games in general, Imperial Assault is the top recommendation I can give you.

That being said, if you’ve played any of these mentioned games, tell us about your experience!
