Boba Fett Is Not Returning for the Mandalorian and Grogu

During a panel at Fan Expo Chicago, Temuera Morrison, the actor who portrayed Boba Fett, dropped a bombshell: he won’t be returning in Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu.

Despite fans hoping for his reappearance, Disney has not extended an invitation for Morrison to join the upcoming film or a potential second season of The Book of Boba Fett.

It seems that the show’s reception has significantly impacted the character’s future in the franchise.

The Book of Boba Fett, which explored the character’s escape from the Sarlacc Pit, didn’t quite hit the mark for many fans.

While it was intriguing to witness Boba Fett’s survival after his presumed demise in Return of the Jedi, the show left some viewers wanting more.

Perhaps the allure of bringing back characters who had seemingly met their fate (Darth Maul, Palpatine, and now Boba Fett) didn’t resonate as expected.

As we eagerly await The Mandalorian & Grogu, little is known about the movie beyond its place in the Star Wars timeline and its focus on the titular characters.

Will Boba Fett’s absence impact the plot? Only time will tell. For now, Morrison remains hopeful, stating, “I’m still waiting for a phone call to be quite honest. Maybe we come off the shelf later“.
