It is a well-known fact that both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan survived Order 66. Like many fans, I too have always yearned for a moment where Ahsoka and Obi-Wan meet after the Republic’s fall.
One can only imagine their reactions upon seeing each other, given their shared bond with Anakin during the Clone Wars.
However, I regret to inform you that following the Republic’s downfall, Ahsoka never had the chance to see Obi-Wan.
The reasons behind this will be revealed in the upcoming section of the article. So, let’s proceed without further delay.

Ahsoka thought Obi-Wan is Dead with the Jedi Order
During the time of Order 66, Ahsoka, unlike many other Jedi, was no longer part of the Jedi Order and thus did not receive Obi-Wan’s message.
If you want a recall, in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan informed Yoda that he had recorded a message to warn all surviving Jedi not to return to the Jedi Temple.
Ahsoka did not receive this message, but she pieced together what was happening during her time with Captain Rex.
By removing the chip from Rex’s head, she discovered that all the clone troopers were turning against the Jedi.
Ezra’s Quest and Ahsoka’s Absence: Unraveling the Survival of Obi-Wan Kenobi
In the tumultuous times following the fall of the Republic, Ezra Bridger, a young rebel and burgeoning Jedi, embarked on a quest to find Obi-Wan Kenobi.
This journey was sparked by a series of events, beginning with Ezra’s activation of Kanan’s holocron, which played Obi-Wan’s recorded message to the Jedi after Order 66.
Later, in a confrontation with Maul, Ezra discovered that Obi-Wan was indeed alive.
However, during this time, Ahsoka Tano, another key figure in the Rebellion and a former Jedi herself, was not present. Ahsoka had left the Jedi Order before the execution of Order 66 and was unaware of Obi-Wan’s survival.
She was under the impression that Obi-Wan, along with the rest of the Jedi Order, had perished. This belief, coupled with her own missions and responsibilities, kept her away from Tatooine, where Obi-Wan was in hiding.
While Ezra was piecing together the truth about Obi-Wan, Ahsoka was elsewhere, carrying out her duties for the Rebellion under the codename Fulcrum.
Unaware of Obi-Wan’s survival, she continued her work, aiding the Rebellion in their fight against the Empire.
Ahsoka’s Journey Post-Order 66
Following her departure from the Jedi Order, Ahsoka Tano embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery.
This was a period of profound change and growth for her, marked by introspection and a redefinition of her identity.
She adopted a new persona, operating under the codename ‘Fulcrum’, a name that would soon become synonymous with hope and resistance against the Empire.
During this time, she played a crucial role in the early formation of what would become the Rebel Alliance.
Her work required her to stay hidden, often in isolation.
This was a necessary precaution, given the Empire’s relentless pursuit of any form of dissent. Despite the risks and challenges, Ahsoka remained undeterred.
