With Ahsoka Season 2 officially in development, the Star Wars community is buzzing with theories and rumors.
Many beloved characters are expected to return, including Ezra Bridger. There’s even playful speculation about the return of Jabba the Hutt.
Of course, we all know Jabba the Hutt’s fate, so his return is unlikely.
However, the idea of Jabba’s return is reminiscent of a humorous moment involving Ezra.
The Return of Ezra “Jabba the Hutt”
If you have watched the Star Wars: Rebels series, you definitely know how Ezra sacrificed himself to save his friends from Admiral Thrawn.
In the episode “Family Reunion – and Farewell,” Ezra makes the ultimate sacrifice to save his friends and the Rebel Alliance.
He uses the Purrgil, hyperspace-capable creatures, to pull Grand Admiral Thrawn’s fleet into hyperspace, taking Thrawn and himself to an unknown part of the galaxy.
Ezra’s fate remained a mystery for many years, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his return. The Ahsoka series finally brings closure to this long-standing question.
In the series, Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren embark on a mission to find Ezra and bring him back.
His return is not just a reunion with old friends but a pivotal moment in the fight against the remnants of the Empire.
Ezra’s reappearance in Ahsoka promises to bring new dynamics and challenges, as he continues to be a beacon of hope and resilience in the Star Wars universe.
In the episode “Spark of Rebellion,” Ezra Bridger finds himself captured by Imperial forces during one of the Ghost crew’s missions.
As the Imperials interrogate him, they demand to know his name. Ezra, thinking quickly and with a touch of humor, responds with “Jabba the Hutt.”
This clever response serves to protect his true identity while also mocking the Imperials.
So, while we may not see the real Jabba the Hutt in Ahsoka Season 2, we can still enjoy the playful spirit of Ezra’s joke.
Even the official Star Wars Twitter (now X) account has made jokes about this. You can check it out for yourself here.
Ezra’s quick wit has always been one of his standout traits, and his humorous “Jabba the Hutt” alias is a prime example of this.
It shows his ability to think on his feet while poking fun at the Imperials.
Ezra’s intelligence and ability to outsmart his adversaries are key traits that make him a standout character.
A prime example of this is his encounter with Maul on the ancient Sith planet Malachor. In the episode “Twilight of the Apprentice,” Ezra and Maul form an uneasy alliance to access the Sith holocron.
Despite Maul’s attempts to manipulate him, Ezra remains cautious and ultimately outsmarts Maul by refusing to fully embrace the dark side.
Ezra’s cleverness is further showcased in the episode “Visions and Voices,” where he uses Maul’s own tactics against him.
By staying one step ahead, Ezra manages to protect his friends and prevent Maul from achieving his goals.
