Ewan McGregor on The Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2
During his interview segment at L.A. Comic Con, McGregor was asked if there was anything in the Star Wars universe he hadn’t done yet but would like to explore.
He responded enthusiastically, suggesting that there are “a couple of things” he’s eager to dive into.
He revealed that one of his biggest wishes for season two would be to wear the Jedi Clone Commander armor—something we haven’t seen him don in live-action.
“I think there’s definitely something there… I’d quite like to wear that armor,” McGregor shared, referring to the possibility of revisiting more Clone Wars-era stories.
He also hinted at the potential for reuniting with Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in those Clone Wars flashbacks.
However, McGregor acknowledged that the de-aging process would be necessary to make such scenes believable. “I don’t care, I’ll do it… That’s the way Hayden and I can really get back together again,” he added with a smile.

Why Fans Are Excited for More
Fans of the series have been eager for a second season ever since the first one aired on Disney+. The show brought back McGregor’s Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader in an emotionally charged storyline set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Fans are particularly intrigued by McGregor’s hints about exploring more of the Clone Wars era—a period where Obi-Wan and Anakin were closer than ever before Anakin’s fateful fall to the dark side.
The prospect of seeing both McGregor and Christensen in their Clone Wars-era roles, wearing their iconic armor, has sparked excitement.
Fans are especially interested in how the series might further develop the complex relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin, something that has been central to Star Wars for decades.
While there is no official confirmation yet, the discussions indicate that there are numerous storylines that could be explored in a potential second season.
The first season left fans with questions and a desire to see more of Obi-Wan’s journey.
Could we see more of his time on Tatooine, protecting Luke Skywalker? Or perhaps delve into other adventures that Obi-Wan undertakes during his years in hiding?
