How Did Kamino Never Questioned That the Clone Army’s Creator Had the Same Face as the CIS Leader?

How Did Kamino Never Questioned That the Clone Army’s Creator Had the Same Face as the CIS Leader?
[Just a heads-up] I started a printable shop with Star Wars art. Might be your vibe.

Not gonna lie, this question took a while to really land. The moment it clicked, though, it felt way too strange to ignore. How could the cloners on Kamino just ignore the fact that the person who gave them the order looked exactly like the head of the enemy? Turns out there’s more to this than it seems.

They Thought Tyranus Was Just a Jedi

The Kaminoans were told that a Jedi named Tyranus ordered the clone army. That was it. He had the robes, he gave the instructions, and he paid. From what we saw, they had no reason to question it. In The Clone Wars Season 6, they even call him a “strange Jedi.” That tells me they bought the Jedi cover completely.

When Obi-Wan showed up in Attack of the Clones, they weren’t suspicious either. They were super formal, answered his questions, and acted like everything was going as planned. I really think they believed the order came from the Jedi Council or someone with authority.

They Probably Didn’t Know What Dooku Looked Like

This part makes a lot of sense if you think about where Kamino is and how they operate. The planet is totally isolated – outside the Republic – and the Kaminoans don’t seem to keep up with galactic news. They wouldn’t have Senate holos playing in the background or posters of Dooku hanging around.

Even when Dooku became a major public figure, I doubt they connected the dots between him and the guy who called himself Tyranus years earlier. He didn’t go by that name in public, and the galaxy probably never put his Sith identity out there either.

They Didn’t Care About Politics Anyway

One thing that really stands out to me is how disconnected the Kaminoans were from everything going on in the Republic. They weren’t members of it. They didn’t vote in the Senate. Their only role was to make the clones and get paid.

They clearly saw the whole project as a business deal. That’s why they didn’t ask too many questions. They delivered the product, followed the contract, and didn’t worry about the bigger picture. If the client changed sides later? Not their problem.

And They Just Don’t Think Like Humans

The Kaminoans always came off cold and distant. They never showed any attachment to the clones, even though they raised them. They treated Omega like an experiment. To them, the clones were assets, not people.

That mindset matters. It means they also wouldn’t see the difference between Jedi, Sith, or Separatists as anything more than politics. If someone powerful placed the order, paid for it, and had the right credentials, that was enough for them. They followed instructions, no questions asked.

They Might Have Known – and Stayed Quiet

There’s also a pretty good chance they figured it out – or at least suspected something – but chose not to say anything. In The Clone Wars, Nala Se and Lama Su were hiding the truth about the inhibitor chips. They were doing exactly what Tyranus told them, even when it meant covering up serious problems.

That tells me they were at least partially in on it. Maybe they didn’t know Dooku and Tyranus were the same person at first, but once the war started and Dooku became a public figure, they must have had doubts. Still, they said nothing.

Why? Probably because they didn’t want to lose their deal. They had Republic credits coming in. Speaking up might’ve meant the end of the contract – or worse.

A Small Extra Detail

In the Boba Fett book series (which is part of Legends), Boba eventually realized Tyranus and Dooku were the same person. He figured out the whole war was a setup and even told Palpatine. The Emperor already knew, of course, but didn’t punish Boba. He saw potential in him. That’s how deep the plan went – and it just shows how perfectly the Kaminoans fit into it by staying quiet.
