Is General Grievous’s Fighting Style Realistic?

Is General Grievous’s Fighting Style Realistic?

I know every Star Wars fan has done this at least once—scrolling through YouTube or social media to watch incredible lightsaber duels brought to life by fans around the world. I do it all the time, and I love seeing the creativity and skill that goes into these fights. Some of the edits are insanely well done—the sounds, the choreography, the clashes—it all feels straight out of the movies.

But I just came across something completely different. Instead of your usual duels, these guys actually mimicked General Grievous’s fighting style. And yes, they somehow managed to replicate his four-arm, multi-blade technique, swinging swords just like Grievous himself.

The clip comes from the Sellsword Arts YouTube channel, and at first, I had no idea how they managed to pull off something that seemed impossible. Grievous wielding four lightsabers at once is already terrifying in the movies, but making that work in real life seemed unthinkable. Since growing extra arms wasn’t an option, they had to find another way.

They executed it by having two people work together—one literally hopping onto the back of the other—so they could simulate Grievous’ four-arm combat style. The fight turned into a chaotic and overwhelming display that looked straight out of Revenge of the Sith.

What made it even better was how much fun they had with it. At one point, a guy walks in and delivers the classic line, “Hello there!” just like Obi-Wan. The duo playing Grievous throws in phrases like “Jedi scum!” every time they win a round. They even added hilarious effects—like using “I hate you!” from Mustafar to dramatize how the poor guy with a single blade feels after being completely overwhelmed by four lightsabers.

The whole thing is a blast to watch, and I’ve got the video for you right below. Trust me—you’ll love it.
