Kathleen Kennedy Wants To LEAVE Lucasfilm After Disney Star Wars FAILURE

In recent months, the internet has been abuzz with rumors and speculations about Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, potentially leaving the company.

According to Film Threat’s Chris Gore, Kennedy wants to leave Lucasfilm, but only under one condition: she wants to leave on the heels of a massive critical and commercial success. This is something Lucasfilm hasn’t experienced in quite some time.

Since Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012, Kathleen Kennedy has been at the helm. Back then, she promised George Lucas that she would take care of his life’s work.

However, under her leadership, the Star Wars franchise has faced significant criticism.

The deeply unpopular Star Wars sequel trilogy, the box office failure of “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” and the critical and commercial failures of Disney Plus series like “The Acolyte,” “Ahsoka,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and “The Book of Boba Fett” have all contributed to the franchise’s decline.

Chris Gore mentioned on a recent episode of The PRO Show with WDW Pro that Kennedy wants to retire and leave, but she wants to do so on a high note. “She wants to retire and leave,” Gore said. “But she wants to do that on a win.

If Kennedy were to leave Lucasfilm, it would undoubtedly have a significant impact on the company and the Star Wars franchise.

Leadership changes can bring about new directions and creative visions, which could either rejuvenate the franchise or further divide the fanbase.

However, it’s crucial to remember that these are just speculations at this point.

In conclusion, while the rumors about Kathleen Kennedy’s departure from Lucasfilm are intriguing, they remain unverified.

Until there is an official announcement from Lucasfilm or Disney, it’s best to take these claims with a grain of salt.

The Star Wars franchise continues to evolve, and only time will tell what the future holds for both Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm.
