It’s official: Ahsoka is coming back for a second season! Dave Filoni, the mastermind behind the series, has confirmed that Season 2 is currently in development.
In a recent interview, Filoni shared that he is deeply involved in the writing process, saying, “I’m so well into that as the writer; I’m writing away.”
What’s particularly exciting is that Filoni has taken on the role of the sole writer for the new season. He acknowledged the challenge of crafting the story single-handedly but expressed his passion for the project: “I’ve been enjoying doing that, but it’s a challenge, of course.”
While plot details are still tightly under wraps, there’s a lot to speculate about.
Filoni’s involvement all but guarantees that the intricate narratives from the first season will continue, and I can’t help but hope we’ll see even more familiar faces from the Star Wars universe.
Could we finally get more of Thrawn’s master plan? Or maybe even a hint at Ezra’s next steps?
What’s even better is that filming for Ahsoka Season 2 is tentatively set to begin in 2025.
This gives Filoni plenty of time to refine the scripts, ensuring every detail lives up to the high expectations we all have.
And according to some reports, we might get more news during the Star Wars Celebration in April 2025. Trust me, that event is already on my radar.
Filoni’s deep understanding of Star Wars lore has always been one of the series’ strongest assets.
His ability to stay true to the galaxy far, far away while introducing fresh twists and developments is what makes Ahsoka such a standout series.
If the first season was any indication, Season 2 is bound to take us even deeper into Ahsoka Tano’s journey, and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
