Samuel L Jackson Wants A Disney+ Show For Mace Windu: “He’s Not Dead!”

Samuel L. Jackson is at it again, stoking the flames of Star Wars fandom with his unshakable belief that Mace Windu, the Jedi Master he portrayed in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, is alive and ready for a comeback.

His most recent comments, shared during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, have fans buzzing about the potential for Windu’s return in Star Wars universe.

Samuel L. Jackson Believes Mace Windu Is Alive

When asked about Mace Windu’s fate, Jackson didn’t hold back. “Just ‘cause they cut my arm off and I fell out of a window doesn’t mean I’m dead,” he said with a grin. “I’m a Jedi! I’m the second-most powerful Jedi in the universe, next to Yoda.”

It’s not the first time Jackson has insisted that Windu survived his dramatic fall in Revenge of the Sith, but this time he went a step further, expressing his openness to reprising the role in a new Star Wars project.

Jackson’s enthusiasm is infectious, and his playful confidence in Windu’s survival aligns with a franchise that has brought back characters from seemingly fatal scenarios.

Darth Maul, Boba Fett, and Emperor Palpatine are prime examples of Star Wars figures who returned to the story after being presumed dead. Could Mace Windu be next?

A Mace Windu Story Could Be Exactly What Star Wars Needs

The idea of a Mace Windu-focused story isn’t as far-fetched as it might sound. Disney and Lucasfilm have increasingly embraced smaller, character-driven narratives that explore the personal struggles and histories of beloved characters.

Stories like The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor have shown that the Star Wars universe thrives when it takes a deeper dive into individual journeys.

A story centered on Mace Windu could explore uncharted territory—what happened to the Jedi Master after his dramatic confrontation with Palpatine?

How did he survive the fall, and what has his life looked like in the shadow of the Empire’s rise?

A darker, introspective tale focusing on Windu’s resilience and quest for purpose would not only give fans more of Samuel L. Jackson’s iconic portrayal but also offer a chance to expand the Star Wars mythos in meaningful ways.
