The Star Wars Encyclopedia has done it again, giving us an exciting new look at one of Star Wars Rebels’ most beloved characters—Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios.
For the first time, we get a comprehensive full-body render of the towering Lasat warrior, and trust me, it’s nothing short of incredible.
A Closer Look at Zeb’s Design
Zeb Orrelios has always stood out, not just for his gruff personality but also for his striking design. This full-body render dives deep into those details we’ve only caught glimpses of before.
From his muscular frame to his digitigrade legs (a trademark feature of the Lasat species), the design captures the essence of what makes Zeb such a visually unique character.
His purple-striped fur is intricately detailed, and his stance radiates both power and grace—perfectly fitting for the former member of the Lasan Honor Guard.
And, of course, his bo-rifle is prominently displayed, a weapon that doubles as both a tool and a symbol of his people’s enduring spirit.
What makes this reveal so exciting is the inclusion of Zeb’s full-body design, something we rarely get to see in live-action appearances. Most of Zeb’s live-action moments, such as his cameo in The Mandalorian, only showcased his upper body.
Thanks to the Star Wars Encyclopedia 2024, we now have a detailed look at his entire form, including his digitigrade legs.
Zeb’s legs are a defining feature of his Lasat physiology.
Unlike the plantigrade legs of most humanoids, Zeb’s digitigrade structure means he walks on the balls of his feet, with elongated heel bones arching upward.
This design not only adds to his towering height but also gives him a more animalistic, agile appearance—perfect for a warrior of his caliber.
Digitigrade legs provide Zeb with enhanced balance and mobility, allowing him to move gracefully despite his large frame.
In Star Wars Rebels, we saw just how crucial this physiology is. During the liberation of Lothal, Zeb used his powerful legs to pry open blast doors and trap the assassin Rukh, turning the tide of the battle.
