The FIRST JEDI General Grievous Killed

General Grievous is well-known for his lightsaber fighting skills, trained by Darth Tyranus. But during the Battle of Geonosis, why didn’t Grievous appear to help Dooku?

The reason is he was occupied with something else.

During this battle, Grievous confronted a Jedi, marking his first Jedi kill and the beginning of his lightsaber collection.

Let’s see how Grievous managed to get his hands on this Jedi.

Ur-Sema Du was a female Human Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order during the waning years of the Galactic Republic.

Known for her skills and wisdom, Master Ur-Sema Du played a vital role in the Jedi’s efforts during the Clone Wars.

However, her encounter with General Grievous would be her last.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Master Ur-Sema Du was tasked with hunting down any Separatist forces that might have escaped into the underground catacombs.

In these dark and labyrinthine tunnels, she encountered General Grievous.

This was Grievous’s first combat deployment following his reconstructive cybernetic surgery, marking the beginning of his campaign against the Jedi.

Wielding her lightsaber against Grievous’ electrostaff, Du fought valiantly but was overpowered and killed by the General.

Before his battle with Ur-Sema Du, Grievous had been observing, analyzing, and memorizing the fighting styles of the Jedi during the Battle of Geonosis.

With this preparation, he quickly learned Ur-Sema Du’s fighting style, allowing him to defeat her easily. Grievous then collected her lightsaber as a trophy and left her body where it lay.

His existence remained a secret from the Republic until he was ready to unleash his full might on the Grand Army of the Republic.

For more detailed information, you can refer to the novel “The Story of General Grievous: Unkown Soldier & Lord of War”

This novel not only covers the story of Jedi Master Ur-Sema Du but also provides a list of other Jedi that Grievous has defeated.
