We Want More Baylan and I Think This Fellow Irish Actor Could Be a Fantastic Replacement

Losing Ray Stevenson, who gave us that epic performance as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka, hit hard.

He had this fierce, magnetic presence as Baylan, a Dark Jedi who somehow survived Order 66 and returned as this mercenary wielding an orange lightsaber.

I mean, he wasn’t just any villain – he was mysterious, intimidating, and had that quiet intensity that just pulled you in.

When they dedicated the first episode to him, you could feel how much love and respect he earned.

But here’s the thing: Baylan’s story is far from over, and with the right actor, it could go even deeper. That’s where I think Pierce Brosnan could come in.

Why Pierce Brosnan Could Totally Nail Baylan Skoll

Alright, picture this: Brosnan steps into Baylan’s boots. Physically, he’s got that same kind of distinguished, intense vibe that Stevenson brought.

He’s got the look, sure, but it’s more than that. Brosnan is one of those actors who can mix elegance with this quiet intensity – something Baylan’s character definitely needs.

Plus, he’s Irish too, which feels almost poetic, like it could carry a bit of Stevenson’s legacy forward without feeling forced.

Brosnan’s Action Skills Are No Joke

Brosnan has serious action chops. He’s best known as James Bond, and while that’s a very different character, it’s not hard to see how those skills could fit into the Star Wars universe.

Baylan’s got to be tough, battle-ready, and capable of handling the gritty side of things, and Brosnan has that experience.

Plus, he’s done a ton beyond Bond: roles in The November Man and more recently as Doctor Fate in Black Adam.

He can play complex, powerful characters who are both physical and deeply intense – exactly what Baylan needs.

Someone once said Brosnan could bring a bit of that “understated, lethal edge” to Baylan.

He’s got that ability to play layered characters who seem calm on the outside but are driven by something fierce underneath.

Baylan’s got a lot of backstory, and Brosnan could bring that out without having to spell it out, which could be awesome.

The Irish Connection Just Makes Sense

There’s also something about having another Irish actor step into Baylan’s role that feels like a respectful continuation of Stevenson’s work.

Like, it’d be a nod to his legacy while allowing someone with a similar background and presence to make Baylan his own.

It’s not about trying to replace Stevenson but about honoring what he brought to the table.

Brosnan’s age, experience, and intense screen presence would be perfect for Baylan, giving us fans a continuation that feels right.

What About You? Got Another Actor in Mind?

Brosnan feels like a natural fit for me, but maybe you’ve got a different idea? Baylan’s a big role to fill, and whoever steps in has a high bar to meet.

Who do you think could pick up where Stevenson left off? I’d love to hear other names because whoever it is, they’re going to need to bring their A-game.
