Who Were The Two ONLY Force-Sensitive Clone Troopers?

In the Star Wars universe, clone troopers are synonymous with uniformity and lack of Force sensitivity, engineered from the DNA of Jango Fett to serve in the Republic’s army. However, two exceptional clones, Glitch and Jek-14, defy these norms.

Glitch, revealed in “The Clone Wars: Defenders of the Lost Temple,” and Jek-14, introduced in “LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles – Secret Plans Are Revealed,” are rare anomalies who possess the ability to connect with the Force.

This article embarks on a journey to uncover the stories of these exceptional clones, revealing how their unique connections to the Force carved out paths of heroism and adventure in a galaxy of warriors and wizards.

1. Glitch

Amidst the chaos of the Clone Wars, Jedi General B’ink Utrila and her squad from the 187th Legion embarked on a daring mission. Their goal was to uncover the secrets of an ancient Jedi temple.

Among them was Glitch, a clone trooper who felt an inexplicable connection to the temple, claiming it was familiar through a vision he had seen.

Despite skepticism from his peers, his intuition led the team to a hidden entrance, proving his unique bond with the Force.

Inside the temple, they stumbled upon a sinister Sith relic known as “the gauntlet”. It was here, in the depths of the temple, that Glitch’s extraordinary abilities began to surface.

The mission took a perilous turn when they were ambushed by the notorious Mandalorian Death Watch. The attack was sudden and fierce, leaving the Jedi and clones at a severe disadvantage.

As the battle intensified, Glitch, guided by a force he barely understood, did something no clone had done before. Amidst the chaos, he reached for a fallen Jedi’s lightsaber.

His comrades watched in disbelief as Glitch ignited the blade, its green light casting an eerie glow in the dimly lit temple.

The confrontation that followed was unlike any other. Glitch faced off against Pre Vizsla, the formidable leader of the Death Watch. With each clash of their lightsabers, Glitch fought not just for survival, but for a deeper understanding of his connection to the Force.

Despite his lack of formal Jedi training, Glitch moved with surprising agility and intuition, dodging attacks and countering with strikes that seemed guided by an unseen force.

As the temple began to collapse around them, a testament to the ferocity of their duel, Glitch made a decisive move.

With a daring leap, he pushed Vizsla back, buying just enough time for his comrades to escape.

The building crumbled, leaving Glitch’s fate uncertain. However, against all odds, he survived – convincing himself it was the Force that willed him to live.

2. Jek-14

While the story of Glitch is a rare tale of a force-sensitive clone trooper in the Star Wars universe, he is not alone.

Another exceptional individual stands out: Jek-14, a clone whose origins and journey differ significantly from any other.

Jek-14 was not your average clone. Born on the watery world of Kamino in 21 BBY, he was cloned from Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. However, what set Jek-14 apart was the unique enhancement process he underwent.

Scientists on Kamino combined four Kyber-crystals into the cloning formula, aiming to create a batch of force-sensitive clones. Of the entire batch, only Jek-14 emerged from the cloning pod, bearing unprecedented Force abilities.

The birth of Jek-14

Jek-14’s abilities quickly propelled him into the galactic spotlight. He exhibited such remarkable power that he faced off against legends like Mace Windu and Yoda, showcasing his prowess by standing his ground against these iconic Jedi.

His journey took a significant turn on Geonosis, where encounters with dark figures like Darth Sidious, General Grievous, and Count Dooku thrust him into the heart of the conflict between the dark and light sides of the Force. Despite pressures to choose a side, Jek-14 maintained his neutrality, embodying a figure torn between two worlds.

This neutrality didn’t mean peace, as both the Galactic Republic and the Separatists saw Jek-14’s potential as a weapon. His adventures led him to Hoth, where, instead of battling, he aided Yoda’s Padawans in building and creation, hinting at his inclination towards peace.

Jek-14’s identity and purpose were constantly challenged. Captured by Count Dooku, he was coerced into creating an army of Sith clones, a testament to the dark side’s relentless pursuit of power. In a dramatic turn of events, Jek-14 awakened his full potential to destroy Dooku’s clones, driving the Sith away.

This victory, however, didn’t persuade him to join the Jedi. Instead, Jek-14 chose solitude, embarking on a quest to find his place in the galaxy, away from the ceaseless conflict between the Jedi and Sith.

Jek-14’s resolve to live independently didn’t prevent him from making pivotal interventions in galactic history. During the dire times following Order 66 and amidst the Galactic Civil War, he emerged from seclusion to assist key figures like Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker.

Whether it was recovering Jedi holocrons to protect them from the Empire or aiding the Rebel Alliance, Jek-14 proved his allegiance to the light side and the greater good of the galaxy.

After playing a crucial role in these historical moments, Jek-14 opted for a peaceful existence. His final acts of heroism involved safeguarding the future of the Jedi and the Rebel Alliance before he sought the quietude he longed for, marking an end to his tumultuous journey.
