Every Known Lightsaber in General Grievous’s Collection

General Grievous didn’t just kill Jedi – he collected the weapons that defined them.

Throughout the Clone Wars, Grievous carved a path of destruction across the galaxy, cutting down Jedi and taking their lightsabers as gruesome trophies. As Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Army, he wielded these sabers not just as tools of battle, but as psychological weapons – reminders that even the Jedi could fall.

Though not Force-sensitive, Grievous was a terrifyingly effective warrior, trained in the Jedi arts by Count Dooku himself. Thanks to his cybernetic enhancements, he could wield up to four sabers at once, using styles adapted from Jedi Forms I through VII. But his true legacy is in the sheer number of sabers he claimed.

According to Lightsabers: A Guide to Weapons of the Force, here’s what we know about his notorious collection.

All Lightsabers Collected by General Grievous

Below is a list of all documented lightsabers Grievous claimed from Jedi and Force-users throughout the Clone Wars and surrounding conflicts:

  • Shaak Ti – Blue. Captured (and in some versions, slain) during the Battle of Coruscant. One of the four sabers Grievous used against Obi-Wan on Utapau.
  • Eeth Koth – Green. Captured in the Outer Rim; saber was briefly in Grievous’s possession before being recovered.
  • Pablo-Jill – Blue. Killed aboard the Invisible Hand in a brutal double-saber strike.
  • Roron Corobb – Green. Slain during the Battle of Coruscant.
  • Roth-Del Masona – Blue. Decapitated by Grievous during the same battle.
  • Foul Moudama – Blue. Fell while attempting to rescue Chancellor Palpatine.
  • B’ink Utrila – Unknown (Twin sabers). Killed at Coruscant; noted for lasting the longest in that encounter.
  • Tarr Seirr – Green. Crushed during the Hypori ambush.
  • Sha’a Gi – Green. Crushed in panic on Hypori after fleeing combat.
  • Daakman Barrek – Unknown. First Jedi killed during the Hypori attack.
  • K’Kruhk – Green. Wounded during Hypori battle; survived, but Grievous claimed his saber.
  • Nahdar Vebb – Blue. Shot by Grievous at his fortress on Vassek; saber later recovered by Kit Fisto.
  • Soon Bayts – Blue. Crushed during a crash on Boz Pity.
  • Quarmall – Green. Injured aboard a Mon Calamari cruiser; Grievous took his saber along with several from captured Padawans (Allara, Banz, Tak-tak).
  • B’dard Tone – Blue. Defeated on Gentes Moon after losing an arm; fought with his off-hand before falling.
  • Jmmaar – Green. Killed during a rescue mission to Vandos.
  • T’chooka D’oon – Green. Slain on Vandos; a Kaleesh warrior himself, D’oon was feared even by his own kind.
  • L’lacielo Sageon – Blue. Killed aboard the Invisible Hand in tandem with Pablo-Jill.
  • Sifo-Dyas – Blue. Though slain by Dooku, one of his sabers was gifted to Grievous – marking the first in his collection.
  • Darth Zannah – Red, double-bladed. Acquired from a fallen Dark Jedi (possibly Lii or Kaa); later taken by the Empire and passed to N-K Necrosis.
  • Neebo – Unknown. Presumed lost on the Sanjin Moon; his saber was later found in Grievous’s Vassek fortress.
  • Adi Gallia – Blue. Captured in the Patitite Pattuna system; saber briefly held before being reclaimed.
  • Anakin Skywalker & Obi-Wan Kenobi – Blue. Their sabers were briefly seized aboard the Invisible Hand before being reclaimed via the Force.

What About Red Lightsabers?

Although most fans associate Grievous with green and blue sabers taken from Jedi, he once owned a small collection of red-bladed Sith weapons as well. That is, until they were lost.

According to Star Wars Manga: Silver (non-canon), Grievous tracked a pair of Dark Jedi to the planet Dica, where they had stolen his entire cache of red sabers. During the ensuing battle, the lightsabers – his and theirs – were knocked into one of Dica’s infamous acid lakes, destroyed beyond recovery.

Final Count

The exact number of sabers in Grievous’s possession remains a topic of debate, but according to existing records, he is known to have collected over 30 distinct lightsabers from fallen Jedi and Dark Jedi alike.

Some were recovered after his death by the Empire. Others may still be buried in the wreckage of ruined ships and forgotten battlefields.

But one thing is certain – no one else in galactic history assembled such a deadly and earned collection of Jedi weapons. Each blade was taken, not gifted. Earned, not inherited. They were more than just lightsabers. They were his legacy.
