How Did All These Ships Come out of Hyperspace So Tightly Packed Without Colliding?

How Did All These Ships Come out of Hyperspace So Tightly Packed Without Colliding?

When it comes to The Rise of Skywalker, we can’t ignore the movie’s many plot holes.

From Palpatine’s mysterious return to how he managed to build an entire fleet of Star Destroyers on Exegol, there are plenty of unanswered questions.

And then there’s the massive Resistance fleet joining Rey over Exegol—popping out of hyperspace without a single collision!

But for the Resistance fleet’s hyperspace arrival, I think I’ve found an answer that just might explain it.

The Citizens’ Fleet May Have Used Slave Circuits for Hyperspace Precision

If you’re wondering how the Citizens’ Fleet managed that perfectly synchronized hyperspace arrival, let’s dive into one of the most plausible explanations: slave circuits.

We’ve seen how massive the Citizens’ Fleet was at the Battle of Exegol, but one big question has always bugged me—how did they all come out of hyperspace in perfect formation without crashing into each other?

Well, if you look at Star Wars Legends, there’s actually a pretty solid explanation: slave circuits. This tech let fleets link their hyperspace navigation together, so instead of every ship jumping separately, one lead vessel controlled the entire fleet’s jump.

Think of it like a master ship leading the way, with the others “slaved” to its coordinates and timing. That would mean every single ship followed the exact same path and arrived at the exact same moment, which makes way more sense than assuming thousands of pilots somehow got it perfect on their own.

If Lando and Chewbacca’s ship acted as the lead, then the entire fleet would’ve synced up to their jump, avoiding collisions and keeping their formation tight. It’s basically interstellar synchronized flying, making sure everything was perfectly choreographed when they arrived.

By thinking of the Citizens’ Fleet using slave circuits, we finally have a satisfying answer for how they pulled it off. This tech would have kept the fleet organized and coordinated, giving us that epic moment without the headache of wondering how they didn’t all crash into each other.

Or This Might Just Be Another Plot Hole

Alright, how did Lando and the Citizens’ Fleet even find Exegol?

We see in Episode IX that Kylo Ren had to go through an entire quest just to track it down. He’s out there on Mustafar, fighting his way through Sith cultists to get his hands on an ancient Sith Wayfinder, because apparently, that’s the only way to navigate to Exegol.

And it wasn’t easy—it took him about a month to finally locate the planet, showing just how well-hidden it was. On top of that, getting there meant navigating through insanely dangerous space, proving that even with the right coordinates, it’s not a simple trip.

Then we have Rey. She manages to get there too, but in comparison, her trip feels like it only takes a few minutes. The Resistance also has a rough journey, but they at least follow Rey’s path, which makes sense.

But then Lando shows up with the Citizens’ Fleet, and suddenly, it looks like everyone just hyperspaced right in—no Wayfinders, no major obstacles, no issues at all.

If we assume they were using the slave circuit, that still doesn’t answer the biggest problem—how did they even get the right coordinates?

Without a Wayfinder, how did Lando manage to lead an entire fleet straight into battle on Exegol?

Either we’re missing a crucial piece of information… or this might just be another plot hole.
