Who Are These 2 Inquisitors?

Who Are These 2 Inquisitors?

Maul – Shadow Lord brings Maul into the Imperial era with two masked Inquisitors hunting him down. One wears the same armor later seen on Marrok in Ahsoka. The other has a sharp white mask, red eyes, and the bird-like design used for the hunter known as the Crow.

So who are these two Inquisitors?

Marrok Was The First Brother Before Ahsoka

Before Ahsoka showed him working for Morgan Elsbeth, Marrok served the Empire as the First Brother. He was a Force-sensitive former Jedi who became part of the Imperial Inquisitorius under Darth Vader.

Maul – Shadow Lord places him on Janix during the Imperial era, where he is sent after Maul. Marrok uses psychometry at the scene of Maul’s attack, reading the Force imprints left behind from the fight. That gives him a specific ability beyond his armor and spinning lightsaber.

He later fights Jedi Master Eeko-Dio Daki, his Padawan Devon Izara, and Maul himself. His duel with Maul puts two double-bladed red sabers against each other: Maul’s old Sith weapon style against the Inquisitorius version used by Vader’s hunters.

Years later, Marrok appears in Ahsoka as Morgan Elsbeth’s masked mercenary during the search for Grand Admiral Thrawn. Ahsoka kills him on Seatos, where green mist escapes from his armor after his body collapses.

The Crow Was The Eleventh Brother

The second Inquisitor is the Eleventh Brother.

He was a Force-sensitive male who served the Galactic Empire as part of the Jedi-hunting Inquisitorius. Before that, he had been a member of the Jedi Order, which fell in 19 BBY during Order 66. Shortly after the rise of the Empire, he became the Eleventh Brother.

He was also present at Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur, the Inquisitorius base hidden on an Outer Rim moon. There, he stood with the other Inquisitors when they met their new master, Darth Vader.

In Maul – Shadow Lord, StarWars.com describes him as a mysterious Jedi hunter with an angular white mask hiding his face, leaving only his red eyes visible. The production internally nicknamed him the Crow.

He arrives on Janix after Marrok’s first encounter with Maul. StarWars.com says he comes in a Phi-class shuttle, the same kind of craft used by the Inquisitorius in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

His place in the timeline is already clear. Dave Filoni first created the Eleventh Brother for Tales of the Jedi, where he dies at Ahsoka Tano’s hand in “Resolve.” That places his role in Shadow Lord before that episode.
