The Jedi are the closest characters the Star Wars fandom has to relate to. With all the intense battles they take part in and the strenuous activities they put their bodies through, it’s natural to compare ourselves to them.
Think about it! How often do you watch (or rewatch) Star Wars and wonder if you are strong enough to do what they’re doing? Or if you would be able to survive if Star Wars was real, to be honest.
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.
You would be surprised to know that, without the Force, an ordinary human would be able to hold their own against a Jedi.
But how strong are the Jedi, really?
Just wait as we uncover the truth behind this question in the following article.

How Physically Strong Are Jedi?
It is understood that most Jedi would be physically fit. However, most of them don’t have any type of supernatural type strength or anything of the sort.
As a matter of fact, without the Force, a Jedi is strongly comparable to a regular human. The Jedi and Sith put more emphasis on the Force as opposed to physical strength.
Take Yoda, for example. He was far past his prime for physical fitness. In fact, he even had trouble walking.
Now, in our society, Yoda would be deemed weak, but not in Star Wars. Thanks to his mastery of the Force, Yoda was able to become an absolute beast.
He was even able to prolong his life and be extremely useful to his comrades.
Which Jedi Has the Most Physical Power?
Even though physical power is not the major focal point for a Jedi, some do take their physiques seriously.
Just like at the gym, where you’d see some people bench press far more than others, life as a Jedi is similar. There are those who have more physical abilities than others.
Most notably are Darth Revan, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, and, of course, the galaxy-renowned Luke Skywalker.
How Physically Strong Is Anakin Skywalker?
The revolutionist, Anakin Skywalker, has made waves ever since his debut in Star Wars. Anakin was a child of prophecy. The chosen one, if you will. He encompassed an impressive physical depth and grasp of the force.
Anakin was even deemed one of the elite Jedi after he was seen to have the highest potential for the Force. He also was able to amass the highest midi-chlorian score of all his peers.
What’s even more shocking is that he did all of this while he was a child!
Needless to say, Anakin was well on track to tap into his full strength and become unstoppable.
Now, don’t get me wrong, the powerhouse that would’ve been, Jedi Anakin Skywalker would have been a sight to behold.
Sadly, depending on how you look at it, that was not what the Star Wars fandom was given. After his battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin decided to embrace the dark side.
Thanks to this, we were left with the man, the myth, and the legend that everyone and their mother know: Darth Vader!
How Physically Strong Is Luke Skywalker?
As impressive as Anakin is, he can’t hold a candle to Luke Skywalker. Affectionately deemed the strongest Jedi who ever lived, Luke was a fireball of a Jedi.
We all know the ever so famous, “Luke, I am your father,” which is, ironically, misquoted.
So, of course, we know Anakin is Luke’s dad. Even so, Luke is miles more powerful than the person who gave him life.
Luke has a large arsenal of far more impressive strides than his dad. He is even able to surpass Anakin in both combat and how masterfully he uses the Force.
Does the Force Make You Physically Stronger?
As we can see, the Force is a major part of a Jedi’s daily life. As a matter of fact, without it, there would arguably be no Jedi.
With that in mind, it’s safe to say that the Force has an impact on one’s physical strength.
The Force is inherently a strong thing. Ergo, Force-users themselves are not strong. Well, not any more than a mere human.
Because of this, it’s not a massive leap to say that the Force can, in fact, make you stronger.
In order for the Force to make you stronger, you must essentially be one with the Force. It may not be a matter of muscles, but once you are one with the Force, you will be able to reach feats you were not even aware of.
How Strong Is a Jedi Compared to an Ordinary Human?
Thanks to the mystical Force, a Jedi is miles stronger than an ordinary human.
To look at the facts, an ordinary human does not have the training that a Jedi does.
Moreover, they do not possess the Force-sensitivity that Jedi do. This gives the Jedi a clear leg up.
Not only do Jedi have their “mind trick” i.e. telepathy and movement magnified by the Force, but they have something that normal humans definitely do not.
Jedi are able to use the Force to see events that have not yet happened.
That’s right, Jedi can see the future! With all this said, it’s clear that the Jedi are objectively stronger than ordinary humans.
Can a Human Beat a Jedi?
Despite them being unnaturally strong due to the Force, the Jedi and Sith alike have been killed by regular humans. “Regular” means that they are not Force users and have no affiliation to the Force in no way, shape, or form.
As surprising as it may seem, there has been a decent amount of non-Jedi who were able to kill Jedi. The most memorable of these events were Jango Fett, the clone troops, and General Grievous during the Old Republic.
In the case of Jango Fett and General Grievous, they have fought with many Jedi and yes, they have lost. Despite that, they were still able to enter into battle with Jedi and emerge victoriously, killing the Jedi.
Conclusion
It’s no question that being a Jedi is a complicated and demanding job that requires a certain amount of mental and physical strength. The majority of the Jedi’s power and strength comes from the Force, however, they still have to maintain their physiques.
There are varying levels to a Jedi’s power that they have. These layers of strength create a hierarchy that clearly mimics that of our own world.
Thus, it’s no question that they are stronger than the average human.
Without the Force, the Jedi are no better than an ordinary human who simply trains and takes care of himself or herself.
