11 Companies Who Make The Best Custom Lightsabers

11 Companies Who Make The Best Custom Lightsabers

The lightsaber is one of the most iconic props in the history of film. Its legacy is so great, even non-Star Wars fans know exactly what lightsabers are.

Despite all the fame though, lightsabers are still fictional, and no one has ever wielded, touched, or seen a real lightsaber.

That said, several companies have come awfully close to making the real deal.

There are so many lightsaber manufacturers today, but only a few put in the quality worthy of a Jedi knight.

This brings up the question: Who makes the best lightsaber?

Table could not be displayed.

1. Saberforge

Saberforge Fallen Order MK2 Unboxing

Saberforge is one of the biggest names in the world of lightsabers. Looking at their products, it’s not hard to see why.

When it comes to quality, few brands come close to Saberforge. Their lightsabers are so much more than simple toys.

Like every good saber company, Saberforge builds lightsabers for dueling.

Their lightsabers are complete with lighting effects and sound to give you the full experience. Dueling with these lightsabers will put you straight into the Star Wars universe.

One thing that sets Saberforge aside is how close their lightsabers are to the ones we see in the movies.

Their designs are almost alike with the lightsabers Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, and other characters used in the movies.

There is so much attention to detail, it’s almost as if these characters passed their lightsaber on to you.

If you’re not looking for a saber from the films, Saberforge also has a variety of different designs to choose from.

They have more choices than any other of the top lightsaber makers. You’ll be spoilt for choice when you shop here.

If you’re browsing online for your first lightsaber, odds are the price tag may force you to think otherwise. That isn’t the case with YDDSABER, which costs just a fraction of the biggest names on the market.

And don’t let the lower price fool you for lack of quality and features. The YDDSABER boasts realistic blaster sounds, flash on clash effects, and it’s durable enough for heavy dueling.

And with seven blade colors to choose from, you can emulate your favorite Jedi or Sith Lord at costume parties, cosplay, or dueling.

Despite YDDSABER’s upside given its lower price, its quality still won’t compare to the more expensive brands on the market like ULTRASABERS and SABERFORGE.

Regardless, if you’d like a bang-for-your-buck saber, there is no better brand to turn to.

KYBERS RGB includes authentic features like glowing blades and realistic sound effects that will make you feel as though you’re fighting in the Clone Wars. Another bang-for-your-buck lightsaber, KYBERS allows for further customization to give your lightsaber a personal flair.

With 11 glowing colors to choose from, one push of the button lets you cosplay as your favorite Jedi Knight or Sith Lord. And if you’re interested in emulating Darth Maul, KYBERS RGB’s hilt lets you link a second blade.

Featuring your choice of black or gunmetal, Kybers RGB’s hilt gives you further versatility in customizing your lightsaber’s aesthetics. It also features a hand to wrap around the hilt if you’re looking to improve your grip while dueling.

KYBERS RGB’s authenticity deepens with three distinct sound fonts for the saber’s flash on clash and sound effect feedback every time the lightsaber hits another object.

It also has a mute option if you’re interested in just dueling without feeling as though you’re in the middle of the Star Wars universe.

If you’re looking for a complete, customizable package, CVCBSER is the most affordable way to go.

You can link a second blade and pull off your best impression of Darth Maul if you decide to turn the blade Sith red, one of 12 unique color options with this one. Or, if you’re embracing the light side of the Force, opt for Jedi green, blue, and yellow in your quest to defeat the Sith.

Besides its plethora of colors, CVCBSER also contains five sound effect adjustments plus five music tracks that will catapult you straight into the Star Wars galaxy.

While the CVCBSER holds up well in lightsaber dueling, it’s also a popular brand among non-duelers who want to look good for that next gathering. Whether you’re attending a Star Wars-themed party or family event, this lightsaber’s fashionable flair is head-turning.

The lightsaber measures 44.5 inches in length from the pommel to the blade’s tip. Its hilt features an aluminum alloy complete with a leather wraparound to better improve grip if you’re entering a dueling tournament at the next family reunion.

Overall, if versatility is something you’re seeking, CVCBSER is a phenomenal lightsaber on the market that will give you full customization control from the lightsaber hilt color to the blade color.

5. Ultrasabers

UltraSabers The Fallen Hilt Review

If you’re looking to get some exciting duels, Ultrasabers is the brand you’re looking for.

They build their lightsabers high-quality and durable, allowing them to survive even heavy duels.

They also have lights and sounds that will turn your ordinary duels into epic ones.

Speaking of sounds, Ultra Sabers have the best and loudest sounds on their lightsabers.

They use obsidian soundboards, giving you an authentic sound experience.

The deep hum when your saber is idling is very satisfying, as is the sound you get when you wave and clash with your Ultra Saber.

Ultra Sabers also makes their sabers very easy to customize. You can easily take apart and replace many parts of these sabers.

This way, if there’s anything you don’t like, it’s very easy to fix that. Once you’re done customizing, you’ll have a lightsaber that is one of a kind.

The best part?

Ultrasabers are very affordable. Compared to other lightsaber brands, you won’t have to spend a lot to get one of these.

So if you’re looking to have some fun duels, Ultrasabers is the most reliable and affordable brand around.

6. Vader’s Vault

Vader's Vault: Mitsurugi 3K Lightsaber Review

Another popular lightsaber brand is Vader’s Vault.

While all these brands are known for their quality, Vader’s Vault stands out above the rest. Every part is made with the utmost care, so you can be sure that they are very durable.

Their sabers are also very beautiful to look at and feel great in your hands.

They don’t have as many options as Saberforge, nor are they as affordable as Ultrasabers, but all their lightsabers are top-of-the-line.

You’ll never have to doubt the quality of your Vader’s Vault.

However, this quality comes at a price.

Each saber is built with so much care that it takes quite a long time to do this. That’s why when you order one, you’ll have to wait a long time.

It usually takes months before you get your hands on your saber. This might seem like a long time, but the quality makes the wait well worth it.

7. Star Wars

Amazon’s personal brand, the Star Wars brand is your go-to if you’re looking for lightsaber replicas from your favorite characters.

Whether you’re looking for Rey Skywalker’s yellow-bladed saber, Darth Vader’s legendary red-bladed lightsaber or even the Darksaber from the Mandalorian, Amazon’s Star Wars Store lets you emulate your favorite characters from the films.

The lightsabers’ advanced lighting and movie-inspired sound effects are so realistic you will think someone transported you into the Star Wars films.

This is a heavier lightsaber and it contains a sturdy blade that can withstand moderate duels. A phenomenal collector’s item, the lightsaber comes with a stand to show the relic off to your friends.

Since these lightsabers are near-perfect replicas of our favorite heroes and villains they’re pricier than the YDDSABER and KYBERS RGB.

However, if you’re interested in fully recreating your favorite battle scenes from the films for cosplay, the Star Wars Black Series Force FX lightsaber is the way to go.

8. Electrum Sabers

Electrum Sabercrafts Torrent Smart Saber Review

Moving north across the border, we find another of the finest lightsaber companies. Electrum Sabers produce custom lightsabers that are 100% made in Canada.

They are a relatively new company, but they are gaining popularity fast.

The reason for this is that Electrum Sabers produce high-quality sabers.

Not only that, but they are also driving lightsaber technology forward. They have some features that are ahead of their time.

One of these is the ability to connect to smartphones.

When you get a Smart saber by Electrum (such as the Remnant:, you can use your phone to customize your lightsaber.

All you have to do is download their app, and you can change your lightsaber’s color, sounds, and effects from your phone.

Another standout feature of Electrum Sabers is their touch switches.

Instead of an “on” button, these sabers have a thumb sensor. Slide your thumb across this sensor, and your saber will come to life.

Electrum Sabers don’t have as many hilt choices as other companies. But with their quality and features, this really doesn’t matter.

9. Korbanth

Korbanth MPP 2.5 Proffie Darth Vader Custom Lightsaber Review

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to hold a lightsaber that was actually in a Star Wars film? Well, you can, because Korbanth’s Graflex lightsaber featured in The Last Jedi!

This tells you something about the quality of this saber. If it’s good enough for Disney, surely it’s a very well-built lightsaber.

You’ll also never have to wonder how close the lightsaber is to the ones in the films. This lightsaber was literally in the film.

Aside from the Graflex, you can also choose from a number of empty or installed hilts at There’s something for everyone here, from the builders to the buyers.

Finally, Korbanth has one of the best customer services around.

Ordering lightsabers online will sometimes have you wondering when your saber will arrive.

Korbanth, however, makes sure you know what exactly is going on with your lightsaber all throughout the process.

10. The Pach Store

Review: Tiny Giant (Kyojin) from the Pach Store

If you’ve never had a lightsaber before, you may get thrown off by the price tags. Most good lightsabers can cost quite a lot, which leads some people to avoid them entirely.

But not Pach Store.

If you’re looking for the best affordable lightsabers, this is your brand.

The quality that they produce at their price point is quite amazing. You can get lights, sounds, and effects at much lower prices here than anywhere else.

Pach Store is based in Hong Kong, a Star Wars crazy city. Despite this, it doesn’t take too long for your lightsaber to arrive.

Yes, they aren’t the best lightsabers around. But for someone looking to get into lightsabers, the Pach Store is a great place to start.

11. Genesis Custom Sabers

For those looking for a top-class lightsaber, Genesis Custom Sabers is for you. When it comes to quality, few companies come close to this one. Each lightsaber is handmade and crafted to perfection.

This company is run by one man, Rob Petkau. An avid Star Wars fan, Rob was driven by his desire to hold a real lightsaber.

He started building lightsabers as early as 1998, but only went pro in 2010. Since then, Genesis Custom Sabers has gained an amazing reputation in the lightsaber community.

The lightsabers themselves are top-notch. It’s very difficult to find a lightsaber with such good sensors and sounds. Nor will you find a saber that is as beautifully designed as Rob’s.

The only problem with Genesis is the price. Remember, everything is custom-made by hand. Rob puts so much effort into making his intricate designs, so don’t expect them to come cheap.

But for lightsaber enthusiasts, this won’t be a problem. You’ll be getting one of the highest-quality lightsabers on the market. The price tag? Worth it.

There has always been a big debate in the Star Wars community on who makes the best lightsabers.

The debate goes on and we are no closer to knowing who takes the crown.

In the end, it all depends on your preference.

But one thing is for sure: whether you get an Ultrasaber, a Saberforge, a Vader’s Vault, or build your own, you can rest assured that you’ll get a great lightsaber. These are the top-notch lightsaber makers today.

one edition I would add to this list is Kyberlight, their sabers are remarkably good for dueling and while there is limited option in style, the affordable pricing makes it great for beginners to get into sabers

Sunday 31st of October 2021

Attended a Comic Con recently (Oct 2021) and spoke to a young Jedi carrying an Electrum Saber. Hands down the most “elegant weapon” I’ve ever seen. Not only was it well crafted and sturdy, but it looked like it came from a galaxy far, far away. The technology, sound, craftsmanship were all out of this world. Some sabers I’ve seen and held are noticeably cheap, this Electrum Saber was far from. Bravo Canada, Bravo!

I agree about Electrum. Gorgeous sabers. The problem is that you'll wait 12 weeks for it to arrive, according to the chat I had with them. They must customize them upon order or something. They are great looking, but not sure if they are worth a 3 month wait. Then again, you wait nearly that long to get a crappy saber from China anyway, so maybe it's not so bad....

I made my first lightsaber purchase with Ultrasabers. I bought one Grandmaster LE on 12/26 and then another one on 01/01. Customer service has been excellent for me and I received my sabers on 01/15. I went all out with the diamond board, 1.2A recharge port, xstar vc2 plus charger, quick release coupler, and ultra-heavy blades. The grandmaster le is such a beautiful hilt that out of all other sabers on Ultrasabers, I had to have it. Plus because my sabers have a speaker the battery doesn't jingle around like those without the speaker. Individual experiences may vary, but mine was good and I'm enjoying my purchase.

Thanks for your feedback!

Im a big Star Wars fan and #2 was right uo my alley. Good sound, movie accurate, could be louder but maybe thats just me. The blade is a good contruction polycarbonate, leds are nice and bright, tiny little dark rings in the LED strip in the blade but you cant tell unless your really trying to find them. You can strike things lightky with it and the sound feedback is fantastic, I would not suggest full on dueling however, the blade is sturdy, but dueling will definatley break it. The hilt/handle is a strong lightweight machined aluminum and feels well weighted in hand. I like Force FX they make great sabers for the price.

Korbanth shouldn't even be on this list but warsabers and KR sabers both should be
